For extra secure fitting, the badassBox can also be fastened with a zip tie. When the badassBox is first fitted, the spoke magnet that comes with it must be mounted in place of the original magnet. Without the badassBox, our spoke magnet functions identically to the original magnet, but when the badassBox is fitted, the spoke magnet is necessary for our patented field enhancement technology to work properly. Once the badassBox has been fitted onto the sensor, the spoke magnet must be offset to the casing edge in the direction of the snap-lock clasp. It's now ready for use. To get to the sensor you need to remove the rear wheel. Find the position of the integrated sensor in the dropout of your e-Bike and loosen the screws that secure the sensor. Place the sensor in the designated recess on the badassBox. The badassBox Giant 2020 is mounted with the sensor by using cable ties (included) on the chainstay.. For the first assembly, the supplied spoke magnet must be mounted instead of the original magnet. Our spoke magnet works without badassBox identically to the original magnet, but with badassBox mounted, it is necessary for the function of our patented field amplification. The spoke magnet must be aligned next to the badassBox. To check the position of the magnet on the bike when stationary, lift the rear, spin the rear wheel (not the cranks!) and let it spin. Check the speedometer or app of your bike. The indicated speed should be even and slowly decrease while the rear wheel coasts down. If the spoke magnet touches the badassBox, the spoke magnet must be placed as close as possible to the badassBox and turned 90°. Done!
