We distinguish between the classic mounting on the chain stay and the integrated mounting in the area of the dropout.

Sensor on the chain stay

A good indication that your sensor is on the chain stay is the presence of a spoke magnet.
In addition, the sensor is usually direct and easily visible.

Brose Sensor

When the snap-lock clicks into position, the badassBox is fitted securely to the sensor.­ For extra secure fitting, the badassBox can also be fastened with a zip tie. Once the badassBox has been fitted onto the sensor, the spoke magnet must be offset to the casing edge in the direction of the snap-lock clasp. It's now ready for use. Integrated sensor

If the sensor is integrated, then you do not have a spoke magnet, but instead a magnet on the brake disc.
To get a good view of the sensor, it is recommended to remove the rear wheel.

Brose CS Sensor

Attention, only the pin-shaped sensor (first picture) is compatible with this variant –for the normal Brose sensor you need the badassBox 4 Brose The badassBox 4 Brose CS-Set includes all the parts you need to install the badassBox 4 on your e-bike with Brose mid-mounted drives and pin-shaped sensor: badassBox 4 Brose CS Adapter Spoke Magnet with Thumb Screw With the badassBox 4 Brose CS set you not only get all the necessary parts to tune your e-bike in one 'click', but you also save money. Installation The pin-shaped CS sensor is located in the area of the dropout. To get to the sensor you have to remove the rear wheel. Unscrew the screws of the bracket that secures the sensor to the dropout. Separate the sensor from the bracket. Insert the pin-shaped sensor into the adapter so that the flat side of the sensor is aligned with the corresponding recess in the adapter. The sensor must be inserted completely into the adapter, so that only the cable protrudes and the snap closes flush with the surface of the adapter. (In the photo, the sensor is not yet completely inserted). Attach the adapter to the frame of your bike with the supplied cable ties. Reinstall the rear wheel. Slide the badassBox onto the adapter until it clicks into place. Mount the spoke magnet and align it with the edge of the badassBox housing. That's it. Have fun with your faster e-bike!
