Badass eBikes proudly presents: the new badassBox 5

We completely re-designed the casing and in addition, by popular demand, is now provided with a water-proof sealing. Unlike its predecessor, the badassBox 5 is compatible with a wide range of motor systems, given the right adapter set. Therefore keeping your badassBox 5 when upgrading your eBike is as easy as ordering a new suitable adapter. Another novelty is the ability to update the firmware of the badassBox 5 through your own mobile device. On top of that, the optional Boost Buddy App provides a speedometer and access to personal configurations of the box. Energy is supplied by the good-old AAA-Battery, which saves the use of special cables and makes the installation a breeze. The inner circuits are protected againt moisture and mechanical stress through a special filling compound.

FIRMWARE-UPDATES

Despite all the claims by manufacturers and workshops, firmware updates and upgrades for e-bikes are also gateways to features that could take away or restrict your choice of tuning.

We therefore recommend that you do not carry out any updates or upgrades to the motor firmware or have them carried out, for example by a bike service center, in order to retain the option of tuning.

An e-bike that works probably does not need an update.
