Get your stuff on board!
The nicer the weather, the longer the ride.
The worse the weather, the more extensive the luggage.
Whether on an e-bike or a bio-bike, a handful of essentials should always be with you. Basic tools, everything for a tyre repair, your mobile phone, some cash and plastic cards and, depending on your needs, some textiles and food. If you don't want to carry a backpack and don't have any jersey bags or don't want to fill them up, then you can't do without bike bags. There are various types of panniers, but if you're not going on holiday, a saddle bag and, if necessary, a top tube bag are sufficient for the essentials.
What comes with it?
The top tube bag is ideal for everything you need to reach easily during the ride or in breaks: the mobile phone for Insta or an emergency call, energy bars or gels, keys, ID, EC card and cash for the break espresso or the finishing pint.
The saddle bag is the classic place for spare inner tube, CO2
, i.e. everything you need to have with you but don't want to use. Depending on the size of the bag, you can also fit a waistcoat or rain jacket. But you don't necessarily want to have access to these during the ride either.
And of course, regardless of the bags, you shouldn't forget the water bottles
